Thank you for your interest in participating in skills-based volunteering. Here’s how it all works.

The Covestro Center for Community Engagement facilitates teams of 4 to 6 business employees in a 12 to 14-week program that will work with you to solve a well-defined technical or management challenge. This program kicks off with a half-day training and team-building launch to introduce businesses to the nonprofit sector, clarify the team’s consulting role, and introduce them to their proposed assignment. Each team is guided by an experienced nonprofit consultant who provides coaching and direction.

After an initial site meeting (which can be done virtually), teams work to complete the deliverables you help define, depending on your needs. The program concludes with a final presentation to business managers and senior leadership, celebrating the teamwork between both sectors.

Previous successful partnerships have included financial analysis, market research, operations improvements, and facilities management. When nonprofits thrive, the community thrives!
